Environmental

Expanded Polystyrene’s superior thermal insulation properties make a positive contribution to the environment. EPS has never contained CFCs(chloroflurocarbons),HCFCs(hydrochloroflurocarbons)HFCs(hydroflurocarbon) or formaldehyde which are harmful to the earth’s ozone. EPS is inert and stable and does not produce methane gas or contaminating leachates.
Resource Efficient
Expanded polystyrene (EPS) manufacturing uses little energy, in which steam is a component of the manufacturing process. The water from this process is collected and re- used many times.
Made with Recycled Material
EPS is recyclable and can be turned into new expanded polystyrene (EPS) products or thermally processed into a resin to make many other products.
Used Nationwide in LEED Certified Projects
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)is the nationally accepted benchmark for design , construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
